BONUS: TUSA | 1st (or 2nd?) Presidential Debate Reactions with DJ Tyson

This was a fun experiment!!

Hey Friend,

The 1st presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump happened on Tuesday, September 10th.

I was feeling particularly experimental leading up to that night, so I checked out some extra podcasting equipment from MTSU’s College of Media and Entertainment and invited WMTS 88.3 FM Program Director Tyson Lewis (a.k.a DJ Tyson) to stop by The Kennel and share in the all the horror FUN that comes packaged with a presidential debate.

The Unnatural State of Affairs broadcasts on WMTS 88.3 FM, Mondays at 5-7 P.M. Tune in to hear the censored talk show segments and DJ session!

Additionally, if you wanna hear some more bops, check out Tyson’s Taste with DJ Tyson every Tuesday at 4-5 P.M. on WMTS!

This was an idea that I thought of only a few days before the debate, so much of this was produced on the fly. (The crackling audio should be enough evidence to convince you of that assertion.)

Initially, I thought this would be a great thing to broadcast on the airwaves in full nearly a whole week after (um, what???), but because of the lack of timeliness by that point, and the insane editing I’d have to do to bleep out all of the curse words and calls to action to keep Daddy FCC off of our backs, I think the best option would be to upload this in full and broadcast a censored version of the ending to this 2+ hour recording, in which friend of the show Big Dog Jay hops on a call to share his thoughts with us.
